West Central Conservancy District

The West Central Conservancy District (WCCD) was established by the state of Indiana for the specific purpose of providing for the collection, treatment, and disposal of sewage and other liquid wastes for residents of the 25,000 acre district. The district encompasses the Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, and Plainfield communities.

Generally, conservancy districts of the State of Indiana ensure that constituents have at least one of the following:

  • a dependable supply of drinking water
  • services for sewage collection and treatment
  • proactive efforts for flood control and, soil erosion prevention
  • programs for achieving other water-resource community goals.
